Graduating Students Guide - 27th, Convocation 2023

Dear Graduand, Congratulations on forming part of the list of graduating students. If you intend to attend the convocation ceremony, the following instructions will be helpful as you prepare for the occasion.

Step 1: Get Your NO-DUES, Pass Certificate, Download Challan , Pay Convocation/Degree Fees Rs. 8550/- (Absentia Rs. 4500/-=> Already Received Degree wants to apear in Convocation) & Complete Other required Documents in the relevant batch ( 19 & 18AR ) of the graduating students. Furthermore, visit Examination Website
Noted.. Challan can be deposited any Branch of HBL

Step 2: Click the online registration link and fill up the required information to register yourself for the convocation.

If the Online registration website does not process your request or any issue during filling form, you need to immediately contact the at the email : [email protected] , who will guide you furthermore regarding online registration.

Step 3: Get Print out of the form.

Step 4: Enclosed Photo Copies of Following Documents.

Step 5: submit the printed form at the Examination Counter, Main Administration,MUET, Jamshoro.

Step 6: If you have any other issue regarding Convocation, please immediately Contact to Focal Person or send email to [email protected].

Step 7: Attend the Rehearsal Session of the convocation on the appointed date and time at Main Audiotoriam of Mehran University, Jamshoro.

Step 8: On Convocation held Date at Main Audiotoriam of Mehran University, Jamshoro receive your Convocation Day Admit Card/Entry-Pass/Seat No, Convocation Gown, Head Gear & Invitation Card of your guest from the Convocation/Examination Counter. The Academic Regalia (Gown, Headgear & Hood) shall be issued on cash payment of a Rs. 3300/ - which includes rental of Rs. 800/- & refundable deposit of Rs. 2500/-.

Step 9: Arrive at the Convocation Hall with respect to your Session/Schedule atleast one hour before the appointed time and proceed to the designated robing room to put on your Academic Regalia (Gown, Hood & Head Gear). Check out your attire in the mirror and await formation of the procession.

Dress Code: The wearing of the Academic Regalia(Gown, Hood & Head Gear) is compulsory for all graduates attending the convocation ceremony. The Institute will exclude from the ceremony any graduate who is not appropriately dressed for this formal occasion.

- As it is a formal ceremony, please ensure that your attire befits the occasion.
- All graduates are to observe the following dress code:
   For Gentlemen: Long-sleeved shirt with collar, A Tie and Dark-colored long pants with dress shoes
   For Ladies: Long-sleeved shirt or Blouse with collar, Dark-colored long pants / shalwar with court shoes
   No casual Pants/Jeans, T-shirts, Polo Shirts, Shorts, Bermuda's
   No slippers, Sneakers, Canvas shoes, Sports Shoes, Sandals
   We strongly encourage you to iron your regalia for a smart and presentable look and for better effect on the photos taken on that day

Note: The Academic Regalia generally look good with a white shirt/ blouse. Return of Academic Regalia It is recommended that the same may be returned to the Gown Vendor after the ceremony or latest by Convocation Day after which refund of deposit will not be possible.

Photography To avoid overcrowding and disruption of the ceremonial proceedings. Guests are not allowed to move forward to take photographs of graduates during convocation. An official photographer has been engaged to take the photographs during the convocation. A photo studio will also be set up for family / individual pics if required.

Parking On Convocation Day the vehicles of all graduands will be allowed parking inside the Parking Area at Convocation by Direction of Traffic/Security Staff. Entry will be through main gate of University.
